One small point of interest in your new Camp David Eyeball pictures.  If you look at the picture taken facing SW - there is another clearing in the forest at the top center of the photograph.  This isn't part of Camp David, it is called Camp Greentop - a campground built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.  This campground is owned by the National Park Service and operated by a nonprofit group called the League for People with Disabilities.  They offer summer camps for children with disabilities - and it is a fantastic program.

Camp Greentop is not inside the perimeter of Camp David, but evidently is within its security zone.  There are occasions when Secret Service block the entrance gate when dignitaries are using the National Park Service road.  Every President has dropped by to visit the campers at least once during their term.  The visits are kept very low key, and are not publically announced - with no press or family.  Dubya dropped by two summers ago and spent a couple of hours with the kids.

These photos are relatively new. Heretofore, most satellite photos of Camp David were monochromes dated from the 1990s.

Camp David in the 1990s. Compare to the photo above: buildings have been added at the helipad, bottom left, and removed from the center of the site and from the main compound, top, with the parking area replaced by structures.
